Yadigâr | Heirloom

Hafiz Mustafa is more than just a dessert atelier; it is a window into the rich history and culture of Istanbul, Turkey, the Ottoman Empire, and the Seljuks. Our goal was to create a website and corporate identity that reflects our passion for preserving our heritage and honoring our ancestors. We wanted to capture the essence of our desserts and incorporate our values into every element of our design.

At Hafiz Mustafa, we are passionate about creating a website and corporate identity that reflects our culture, history, and experience. Our concept centers on heirlooms – objects and memories that remind us of important people and historical events. We believe our desserts are heirlooms in their own right, as we continue to make them as delicious and unique as they were when our legacy was first established in 1864.

To create our website and corporate identity, we drew inspiration from various cultural and historical elements. The Gold Pantone Huber tones we use in our designs reference the Tanzimat Edict, the original example of which was issued on November 3, 1939. We also incorporated the symbolic structure of Beyoğlu and Istanbul, the Galata Tower, and the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, designed by Sedefkâr Mehmed Ağa, a student of the famous architect Mimar Sinan. Our home page is adorned with Istanbul motifs that evoke the city’s unique character and charm.

The Seljuk Star is another brand element we use to represent our values. Each tip of the star symbolizes a virtue, including mercy, compassion, patience, truthfulness, confidentiality, loyalty, generosity, and gratitude. In addition to its symbolic meaning, the Seljuk Star also represents the eight gates of Heaven, including dâri-celal, dâri-karar, dâri-selam, heaven-ül hüld, heaven-ül mevâ, heaven-ül adn, heaven-ül firdevs, and heaven-ül naim..

Our design color, huber gold in straw paper tones, reflects the colors of the Tanzimat Edict from the Tanzimat period. The original example of the Tanzimat Edict (November 3, 1939) is the reason why we use Gold Pantone Huber tones and make references to the literature of the period with our narrative language.

At Hafiz Mustafa, we take pride in our Kündekâri motifs, fine craftsmanship used in Seljuk and Ottoman art for building elements such as mihrabs, pulpits, doors, and windows. Our approach to creating sweets and confectionery is similarly intricate, focusing on attention to detail and quality. We believe our sweets are so unique that they deserve to be framed. This is why we use vintage frames in our designs, paying homage to our heritage and the value we place on our precious heirlooms.

The carnation is another symbol that is featured prominently in our website and corporate identity. In Sufi literature, the carnation represents purity and cleanliness and is associated with dervishes. It also symbolizes loyalty and Sufism and has been used as a healing syrup by traditional healers.

Our message at Hafiz Mustafa is about sincerity and competence. We are committed to preserving our heritage and sharing it with the world. We wanted our website and corporate identity to reflect our passion for history, culture, and experience. We have put much effort into creating a unique identity that represents our values and resonates with our customers.

Our website and corporate identity are a reflection of our passion for preserving our heritage and honoring our ancestors. We have incorporated elements of Beyoğlu and Istanbul, Seljuk and Ottoman art, and the virtues of the Seljuk Star into our design. We are committed to creating unique, high-quality sweets and confectionery, and we believe our desserts are heirlooms in their own right. We hope our website and corporate identity will inspire our customers to explore the rich history and culture of Istanbul, Turkey, the Ottoman Empire, and the Seljuks.
