Irresistable Turkish Delight

At Hafiz Mustafa, we take great pride in our Turkish delight. Our history of Turkish delight production goes back to 1864, and we have produced the most delicious Turkish delight ever since. We offer four types of Turkish delight: WICK, HC, PLAIN, and AFYON.

Each type is crafted with the same attention to detail and use of high-quality ingredients, yet their production styles and unique flavors set them apart. The WICK Turkish delight features a traditional rope-like texture, while the HC variation is filled with dense nuts. The PLAIN option is a simple, classic version of Turkish delight with no added nuts or flavors. The AFYON Turkish delight is made with regional pistachios and walnuts, providing a deliciously nutty and creamy taste. Our customers can choose from any of these four types and be assured of a delightful taste experience with each bite.

Our Turkish delights do not contain glucose syrup, colorant, or artificial flavors; the flavor comes from fruits.

We remain faithful to the Ottoman recipes and prepare our Turkish delight with the utmost care and sensitivity to reflect our cultural heritage. As an exporter of Turkish delight, we can never accept even the slightest defect in our product. We sell not just a dessert but a piece of our culture. We believe that our Turkish delight is not just a sweet treat but also a symbol of the cultural richness of our country.

Turkish delight, also known as “lokum,” is a sweet confectionery that has a special place in Turkish and Ottoman culture. It is believed that the roots of Turkish delight go back to the Ottoman Empire, where it was served in the palace kitchens as a treat for the royal family and their guests. The name “lokum” is derived from the Arabic word “rahat-ul hulkum,” which means “throat comfort.”

Over time, Turkish delight became a beloved sweet treat for the Turkish people and is now an essential part of the country’s culture. Turkish delight has become so synonymous with Turkish culture that it is often used to symbolize the country itself. Many tourists who visit Turkey take home boxes of Turkish delight as souvenirs to share with their loved ones.

Different types of Turkish delight are available in the market, but the most famous ones are made with pistachios, walnuts, hazelnuts, or pomegranate flavored. The confectionery combines flavor, water, and cornstarch with the desired flavorings and taste. The mixture is then heated and stirred continuously until it thickens and takes on a gel-like consistency. The mixture is then poured into a mold and set before it is cut into bite-size pieces and served.

Turkish delight’s importance is not only limited to its taste, but also its cultural and historical significance. It is commonly served during religious and cultural festivals such as Eid al-Fitr, weddings, and other celebrations. Turkish literature also uses Turkish delight to symbolize love, friendship, and loyalty.
