Baklavas To Die For
For over one and a half centuries, Hafız Mustafa has been perfecting the art of making the best baklava in the world. Our philosophy centers around using authentic, high-quality ingredients to provide a rich and unique taste. We never compromise on quality and freshness, which is why every baklava seen in our shop was baked that morning. This ensures that our clients get the freshest, most delicious baklava possible. Our commitment to quality doesn’t end with the ingredients we use. We take great care in every step of the production process, from rolling out the phyllo to baking and packaging the baklava.
Our baklavas are made from scratch with a meticulous process that involves rolling out 40 layers of handmade phyllo. This process is carried out by our experienced masters, who have been trained at the prestigious Hafiz Mustafa Academy. Our attention to detail is reflected in every step of the process, from selecting the best pistachios and walnuts on-site to using sugar beet instead of glucose syrup, natural root coloring, and natural fruit extracts. Our products do not burn your throat when eaten because we never use glucose syrup, known to cause throat burning in poor-quality baklavas.
Our secret to crispy baklava lies in our sherbet, made with plain butter from sheep’s milk from the Ceylanpınar Region of Urfa and natural sugar from beet. We use only the best quality Boziçi Pistachio from the Nizip region, the finest ‘Giresun Hazelnut’ in Turkey, and specially picked walnuts to ensure a unique taste that sets us apart from the rest. Our rich history and experience are reflected in the unique taste of our baklavas. Our recipe is perfected with 160 years of experience to provide a rich, authentic flavor that generations worldwide have enjoyed.
Producing high-quality baklava requires attention to every step of the production process. Each link in the chain is crucial and must be executed with care. The selection of premium quality ingredients such as beetroot, butter, and pistachios is paramount. A single weak link can break the chain, resulting in an inferior product. In addition to using high-quality ingredients, it is essential to use a well-functioning oven to achieve the desired golden color. It is important to note that the quality of the butter used plays a significant role in the rise of the baklava. Proper storage conditions are also critical for maintaining the quality and freshness of the product.
Baklava is a popular dessert enjoyed in many parts of the world for centuries. Its flaky layers and sweet, nutty filling make it a favorite among dessert lovers. There are many variations of baklava, but the most popular types are the pistachio and walnut varieties.
The pistachio and walnut baklava come in two categories – classics and specials. The classic baklava is for those who prefer the traditional golden-yellow phyllo dough and a milder nut flavor. On the other hand, the special baklavas are perfect for those who enjoy an intense pistachio or walnut flavor.
Preparing baklava is not an easy task, and making each type requires individual labor and mastery. The phyllo dough must be made from scratch, which is a time-consuming and delicate. The dough must be rolled out to an exact thickness, and the layers must be carefully brushed with melted butter to achieve the perfect texture.
The nuts must be ground to the perfect consistency for the filling, so they don’t clump together or become too pasty. The sherbet poured over the baklava layers must be the right consistency, not too thick or too thin.
The specialty baklava requires extra care and attention to achieve the perfect flavor. The pistachios or walnuts must be of the highest quality, and the amount used must be balanced perfectly with the sherbet to achieve the desired taste.
At Hafız Mustafa, we take great pride in the craftsmanship that goes into every baklava we make.
